It began with a helpful electrician willing to come out on a rainy Sunday evening to confirm the problem (suddenly half of our electrical circuits didn’t work) was outside the house and thus belonged to Eversource. Eversource sent out a team even later on this rainy Sunday. They confirmed the problem, scoured the state and hooked us up with a temporary fix which gave us lights everywhere while they set us up with a permanent repair. They sent another team the next morning when we called to ask if occasional flickers were of concern. Both teams were excellent, knowledgeable, informative and cheerful problem solvers. The fix was going to include some serious digging into our landscaped property with an unusual driveway. Both teams mentioned a particular contractor who was especially gifted in leaving a place in at least as good of condition as they found it. We asked for and were granted the services of that contractor, LJM Construction, and we couldn’t possibly be happier than we have been with the team that LJM sent out to take care of us. Matt scoped out the situation, Laura coordinated from the home front and Roland, Miles and Logan became almost family while they rebuilt a piece of the neighborhood to provide us with proper electrical service. They took care to understand our particular wishes with regard to the landscaping and teamed with us where appropriate to address some of our wishes and preferences. Communication was excellent in all directions, including with our neighbors who were in the path of the new conduit. The three of them cheerfully put up with our sidewalk supervision and made every effort to minimize any inconvenience for us. They treated us with respect and left our properties in excellent condition, in some places even better than when they arrived. We were delighted throughout this whole experience with the cheerful, respectful, helpful, and thoughtful competence of every single team and member we saw or talked to. There were many, from the original private electrician, the Eversource reps in the field and on the phone and all the members of LJM Construction family. It has been an experience to renew our faith and hope for mankind in these “interesting” times in which we are living!
